Young adults Banel and Adama live in a small remote village in northern Senegal. Adama is introverted and discreet while Banel is passionate and rebellious, they are destined to love each other with an eternal love. But the couple will be put to the test by the conventions of the community, because where they live, there is no place for passions, and even less for the chaos.
In een afgelegen dorpje in het noorden van Senegal dwalen ook het dolverliefde stel Banel en Adama rond. Ze verlangen naar een eigen stekje en hebben hierdoor het ouderlijke huis verlaten. Wanneer Adama aan het dorpsbestuur zijn eigen wensen meedeelt, ontstaat een kloof tussen het dorp en het koppel en heerst er chaos.
Banel et Adama s’aiment. Ils vivent dans un village éloigné au Nord du Sénégal. Du monde, ils ne connaissent que ça, en dehors, rien n’existe. Mais l’amour absolu qui les unit va se heurter aux conventions de la communauté. Car là où ils vivent, il n’y a pas de place pour les passions, et encore moins pour le chaos.
