It starts with you

The Research Event

We assemble a qualitative and unbiased audience in the most ideal setting possible: the cinema. Dark room, big screen, great sound, no distractions. This audience then engages with anything we provide (visually or physically), resulting in rich and robust output.

With this extensive dataset, our experts create a highly detailed report, composed of numerous insights: impact, audience engagement, benchmarks and (really) so much more... As an extra service: this report is presented to you live.

From unfinished creative, to running campaigns, ad length, messaging, posters, trailers, a full movie and even samples. Black Box is the place to be to test your product or brand. If we can fit it in a cinema, we can test it!

Absolutely! We’ve created standards from which we try not to deviate too much – which allow us to compare and create benchmarks. But this is your event too, we can tailer the questionnaires to your needs in various ways.

We always make sure to fill the movie theatre with as many respondents as we have seats. The goal is to have a well-balanced audience in terms of gender, age and life phases to ensure an audience which represents our cinemagoers.

The data is collected in real time. However, we do take pride in how we deliver the data to our clients. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for a complete presentation, which will be explained in great detail including Q&A to you.

Guy Spaey

Guy is the Head of Marketing, Data & Research at Brightfish. With an extensive experience in utilizing data to tell stories and bringing answers to questions through research.

Guy has written various award papers, research reports, cases and other publications. Since 2018 he stared focusing more on Attention Research, which later lead him to join the SAWA Attention Council in 2022 and a Neuromarketing research project group at Thomas More in 2023.

DR. JELLE DEMANET

Jelle is a senior business developer at imec-Ghent University. He has a PhD in Experimental Psychology and a special interest in XR, measuring technology and data science.

Jelle is the (co-)founder of the Human Interfae Technology lab at Howest University of applied sciences, neuromarketing research company Apollo8 and XRvalley, that tries to bring together the different stakeholders in XR in Belgium.

Article 1. Organization

The competition, which is part of the ‘Brightfish Movie Poster’ campaign, is organized by Brightfish NV, Eeuwfeestlaan 20, 1020 Brussels. No correspondence or telephone conversations will be held about the course of the competition or the application of the regulations.

Article 2. Participation

Any employee of a company within the sector of advertisers, media agencies or creative agencies may participate, with the exception of the employees of the organizers, the companies (including staff and employees) involved in the organization of the competition. Only fully completed answer forms are eligible to enter the competition. You can only participate once. A maximum of one prize will be awarded per participating company. In the event of multiple answers, entries or submissions, Brightfish will only take the first entry received into account.

Article 3. Privacy

The personal data that Brightfish NV collects about the participants will only be used in function of this competition and will not be further shared with third parties. For further questions regarding how Brightfish handles personal data, you can always refer to Brightfish’s general privacy conditions: brightfish.be/privacy-policy. By participating, every participant automatically grants Brightfish NV the right to publish his/her personal details as winner(s).

Article 4. Prizes

Entrants who answer correctly to the competition questions will be eligible for the top prize of a 1-week cinema campaign during the summer of 2026. The prize is not convertible into cash or other goods or services. When a prize has been awarded, Brightfish NV cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of the prize by the postal services or a delay in receipt. Printing, spelling and typesetting or other such errors cannot be invoked as grounds for any obligations whatsoever on the part of Brightfish.

Article 5. Regulations

Participation in the competition, organized by Brightfish, immediately implies the unconditional acceptance of these regulations. The prize draw is overseen by Brightfish. The decisions are unchallengeable and irrevocable. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels or Ghent. Brightfish may change certain parts of these regulations for organizational or legal reasons, without prior notice or further notice afterwards. Period of participation is valid between 30/03/26 and 04/05/26.
