Corry, a French coordinator of pediatric heart transplants is sent to Japan where organ donation remains taboo. As she fights to save a young boy, her partner Jin, a photographer from Yakushima, suddenly vanishes.
Corry is een Franse coördinator van harttransplantaties in Japan. Daar is orgaandonatie taboe. Ze zet zich in om het leven van een jongen te redden. Ondertussen is ze op zoek naar haar vermiste partner, die een van de duizenden jaarlijkse ‘Johatsu’ van het land wordt – mensen die spoorloos verdwijnen.
Corry (Vicky Krieps), coordinatrice française de transplantations cardiaques pédiatriques, est envoyée au Japon, où les transplantations d’organes restent un sujet tabou. Elle se bat pour qu’un enfant de 12 ans puisse bénéficier d’une telle intervention. Parallèlement, elle recherche son compagnon, qui a disparu sans laisser de traces.
