It starts with you

The Research Event

We assemble a qualitative and unbiased audience in the most ideal setting possible: the cinema. Dark room, big screen, great sound, no distractions. This audience then engages with anything we provide (visually or physically), resulting in rich and robust output.

The Results

With this extensive dataset, our experts create a highly detailed report, composed of numerous insights: impact, audience engagement, benchmarks and (really) so much more... As an extra service: this report is presented to you live.

From unfinished creative, to running campaigns, ad length, messaging, posters, trailers, a full movie and even samples. Black Box is the place to be to test your product or brand. If we can fit it in a cinema, we can test it!

Absolutely! We’ve created standards from which we try not to deviate too much – which allow us to compare and create benchmarks. But this is your event too, we can tailer the questionnaires to your needs in various ways.

We always make sure to fill the movie theatre with as many respondents as we have seats. The goal is to have a well-balanced audience in terms of gender, age and life phases to ensure an audience which represents our cinemagoers.

The data is collected in real time. However, we do take pride in how we deliver the data to our clients. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for a complete presentation, which will be explained in great detail including Q&A to you.

Guy Spaey

Guy is the Head of Marketing, Data & Research at Brightfish. With an extensive experience in utilizing data to tell stories and bringing answers to questions through research.

Guy has written various award papers, research reports, cases and other publications. Since 2018 he stared focusing more on Attention Research, which later lead him to join the SAWA Attention Council in 2022 and a Neuromarketing research project group at Thomas More in 2023.

DR. JELLE DEMANET

Jelle is a senior business developer at imec-Ghent University. He has a PhD in Experimental Psychology and a special interest in XR, measuring technology and data science.

Jelle is the (co-)founder of the Human Interfae Technology lab at Howest University of applied sciences, neuromarketing research company Apollo8 and XRvalley, that tries to bring together the different stakeholders in XR in Belgium.
